What's on your bucket list?

I don't plan to kick the bucket anytime soon, but I decided, why wait til the end to make my bucket list? If we are to live every day as if it is our last, there are some things we can do now, before that dreaded day comes. Here's mine. What's on your bucket list? Have you done any of them?

1.  Have a romantic kiss in the rain. Okay hubby, HINT, HINT. (I told him to read my blog today.
Aren't I subtle?) I've read about them, seen pictures of them, and seem them in movies. I want to
know what all the hype is about. And I promise, I won't complain about my hair.

2.   See Bora Bora. No, not in a magazine. I want to be there and smell the ocean air, feel the
tropical breeze, and take some time to have a little fun in one of those grass huts I see in the
      ads.

3.    Dance like a lunatic at the Sweet Auburn Fest. This is a yearly festival here in Atlanta. I've
Seen people do this in the middle of the street. I've often stopped to watch and they always make
me smile. Not because they look crazy, but because they look like they're having a good time.

4.     To have done everything on my bucket list before I hear that I'm going to, or actually have
         kicked the bucket.

See? It's simple. Let's see your bucket list!

  1. LOL I like your list! I have parasailing and ziplining on mine, and I want to see all 50 states (I'm still 20 away!)

    Good post, Shawn!

    1. I went ziplining once while in the military. I wasn't thrilled. It's the height thing. Go ahead an knock those 20 states out though. It sounds like fun!

  2. Your wanting to kiss in the rain is sweet but it reminds me of another wet place I wanted to kiss - the shower. Not for me. With all the kissing leading to more passion, all I could think of was slipping and breaking a hip or having my teeth knocked out. Hope you husband reads your post today...and that it rains. :)

    1. I find the shower less romantic in reality than in fantasy, too. :)

  3. Love this, Shawn! I want to explore an Aztec pyramid and cruise the Caribbean in a sailboat...

    1. I climbed an Aztec pyramid, does that count? I went to Mexico when I was seventeen with a group of high school students from Vancouver. We climbed the Pyramid of the Sun and the moon, I think. I tell you, once you get to the top, you know why they threw themselves off. LOL

    2. When hubby and I went to Mexico, we had a chance to visit the pyramid, but they don't let you climb it anymore. It's unstable now due to it's age.

  4. Shawn, I've been thinking about a bucket list for the past few weeks. So I actually have a couple of things in mind.

1--Ride in a hot air balloon, over a meadow or lake, not one that just goes up like at a fair or something.

    2--Spend a night in a castle

3--Ride in a convertible with the top down and along a coastline.

    1. I love your list! A hot air baloon sounds fun, but I'm afraid of height. Would love to spend the night in a castle! I've already done number 3. It's a great feeling. Hope you get to do all of them!

  5. 1. Make a living writing while sailing.
    2. Be part of the ARC sail from Tortola to the Azors.
    3. Anchor off Tel Aviv, visit the suk then cook on board.
    4. Take trips with my granddaughter.

  6. 1. Make a regular job's yearly salary off my writing
    2. Have my 95th birthday. ;)
    3. Visit an English small town with a sturdy umbrella
    4. Have a cozy camping weekend with my husband. (First I have to convince him that camping isn't pure insanity.)
