Waiting for Something

I've never been a thrill seeker. But lately, I've found myself waiting for...something. I have no idea what. It's been a while since I've had that certain rush. Got some good news at the day job the other  day. Everybody was jumping around, really excited. I just smiled. One of my co- workers asked, "Don't you get excited about anything? I've never seen you cut loose or act a fool. Everyone has a little fool in them. Are you this way at home?" I thought about it for a minute, and to be honest, I can't remember the last time I did cut loose. I'm wondering if I'm uptight. And if I am, when the hell did that happen?

So now I'm waiting. Waiting for something to happen. Something that will make me cut loose and act a fool. In a good way of course.

  1. I hope something exciting happens soon, and that it's very, very good.

  2. I actually coined a word for that feeling--Expectatious.

  3. I think it's in the type of energy one projets. I don't have to do anything for something to happen to me. Even the process of giving a check to my paddle-board pilates instructor turned into a game in trying to find it as it slipped through the slats of a stack of lounge chairs. Come hand out with me for a while, something is bound to happen to you.
