Hot Summer Days

Good morning from Colorado. It's another scorcher here. Supposed to reach 90+ degrees. Ugh. I love summer--the hot days that make flowers grow, the lazy afternoons. But when it's so hot you can't even move without getting a sunburn, that's too much. Time to grab a book, some ice cold Pepsi and read.

Usually I have some writing analogy. Not today.  I'll catch you all up on where I'm at instead.

Ava
Levi

I'm working on my 4th Black Mountain book, Ride A Falling Star. I have the cover models picked out (above) and a cover should be on the way soon. Aren't they gorgeous? Perfect for Levi and Ava. I'm dragging butt on the book. I just haven't felt like writing a word lately. I'm aiming for the first of August for publication, but it's more likely going to be the middle before the book is out.

I got my edits for The Cowboy's Baby yesterday. Finished them last night. Easy-peasy. This is my last contracted book for Crimson Romance. It is due to be released in September. I can't wait to see my cover. My CR covers have been so good. It should be out soon.

Speaking of Crimson, all of the titles released during our first year, including Kristi's Texas Girl series, are on sale for $1.99! Two of mine are included. Grab a copy and stay cool!

  3. This summer has been hell on my writing schedule. I blame the heat, bebe's new schedule (gymnastics and swimming lessons Kindergarten readiness stuff)...and the heat some more.

I love the images you've picked out for Ava and Levi - now get that book written, I need something new to read! :D

  5. Wonderful cover models, D'Ann. Al of your covers are wonderful.

For a change, I have felt like writing, but I can't until I publish my current book. LOL, I can't do two things at once.

  9. You do have nice covers. It's hot in NJ too, and you've got to be the fastest writer from through to publication in the world. I am in awe. You haven't finished writing a book to be published in August. I'm just trying to get time to edit stuff bor next year!

  11. I love your pix for your cover. They are perfect. It's been hot here in Pennsylvania too. We've also been dealling with a lot of severe thunderstorms and scattered showers. Makes it hard to plan any outside activities.

  13. It's been rainy and cold here in southern Ohio. The 4th was a bust--2 inches of rain. Yuck. Now it's about 98% humidity and so hot you can't stand it. Of course we're expecting more rain today. Severe thunderstorms moving through. So far it hasn't been so great of a summer.

Congrats on almost finishing your book!
