An hour in the water is the best therapy for body and mind and heart. It feels good to move forward. At the day job we finished the annual audit (Yay!) and completed some other tasks. We had a little impromptu pot-luck lunch on Thursday which was fun. At home I crossed some jobs from my to-do list (and managed to create some new ones). But this week has been tragically sad, as we lost one of the outside kitties we've been feeding to a coyote attack. My husband and I have been heartbroken by this loss, as Sunny (that's what we called him) was just that: A ray of sunshine. BUT...there is a happy side to all this. It made me treasure the two kitties we were able to bring inside last autumn (Bruiser and Chloe) that much more. Sunny's death reminded me of all my husband and I HAVE been able to do for the abandoned cats who wander through our neighborhood. We saved two and brought them into our home, and we were in the process of doing the same with Sunny, but even though that can't happen now, we were able to give him and the other homeless kitties lots of love and food. We had three were feeding every day, now we have two. And I'm sure there will be more in the coming years. We'll keep doing what we can to make these poor kitties' lives better and filled with love. And by bringing a little joy to them, we bring joy to ourselves. So that's my heartache-turned-to-joy story of the week. :)Donya Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00229964689354498931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-133132309124375119.post-21190775965716020952016-09-30T10:20:00.846-04:002016-09-30T10:20:00.846-04:00Coming home!
