Did you wait and wait and wait, only to be disappointed?

    At about 3.30 here in Melbourne, AU, I crawled into bed, loaded up with cold meds. Around 3.40, I was woken by the phone. 10 seconds later, I started to giggle. Now, with margarita in hand (who needs cold meds when you have great news and tequila), I'm beyond thrilled to say my entry, The Lake Effect, is a finalist in the SRE category. I think pretty soon there might be tears of relief--this is *insane*!!!

    I couldn't believe I got the call. STEEL HEARTS - a manuscript that's only finaled once - finaled in Single Title. I jumped up and down and my hands are still shaking!
