The Schizophrenic In Me

Lately I've noticed a disturbing trend in my reading habits--I've become a little bit unfocused in actually finishing a book.

I blame my Kindle Fire. It's way too easy to start a new book, not to mention buy a new book.

These books are a represtentation of the books that I have read at least two chapters of over the past week.

Seriously. I've been reading Dance of Dragons on my phone. Feast of Crows on my Kindle. I'd started these months ago and got a little fed up for a while but after finishing the third season of Thrones on HBO, I decided to return and find out what happens to the remaining Starks, Lannisters, and Denaris.

II've been reading The Last Minute during my work lunches in it's paperback form. I finished Her Best Friend's Brother this morning on my Kindle before my doctor appointment--I'd started it a while ago and just came back to it.

And One? I just bought the other day and sample the first couple of  chapters. Plus I have Partials next to my bed--which I started at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago, just had to buy and haven't opened since.

It's kind of driving me crazy. Why am I finding it hard to commit to one book for just a day or two?

Sometimes I'm like that with my writing as well. Write now I'm working on yet another Bix redux--number 7 (AGH)--after getting notes back from Braxton and realizing that I have some hanging threads that need to be tied down.

I'm also working on the Armageddon book and the Pirate book. Again--why can't I just pick a project and focus?

I keep hoping one or the other will grab my attention and I'll hold on and not let go until it's done. I thought it was going to be Armageddon but then the Bix redux came down. And since I've started writing that, ideas have popped up for Bix book 2--which really I shouldn't start until I've sold or at least got representation for book 1.
AGH!

I think I'll go read now. I'm sure I have something----
