My Space

This week on the Wranglers we're talking about what's on our desk. Mine? Bleh. A pile of papers, little keepsakes, etc. I thought it might be more interesting to show what's outside my window when I look up from working. Right outside my window are my flowerbeds. This summer, I grew sunflowers, and they are tall! I have yellows, reds and combinations of both.
To the right is my perennial garden. I have three angels in the flowers. This year, I added annual snapdragons. I love their bright pinks and oranges! I also had purples and whites, but the bleeding hearts choked them out!

Go a little further, and there are the horses! We have 10 quarter horses and paints. Right now, they are on pasture at my parents' ranch. It's cooler up country and they are happier there. We only have a mini who is too small to go and my daughter's old horse here.

The dogs! There are two more not pictured here. They are always with me. I move, they move. These all are purebred Aussies, except Quinice, who is 1/2 Aussie-1/2 border collie. The other two not shown are a heeler and a mutt.

We lease our property to farmers who grow corn. There is about fifty acres of it, but not the famous Olathe Sweet. Ours will go for silage, most likely.

Can't forget a W. Colorado sunset.

Thanks for taking a look around our farm! It was just a peek, so come back again.

  10. Can Jess and I come visit. She'll get along with your dogs, they are just her size. She still think horses are deer but as long as they don't run like a deer, but stop and star like a NJ deer, who says "You've no gun, what are you going to do, take my picture? ohhhhh I'm scared!

Our deer are very sarcastic...until someone kills them with the only hunting most of us have....the car.

    That shuts them up!

Jess has a problem with cats. But less than a half hour ago she walked within 3 yards of one. I was worried the cat might attack Jess and ruin all her behavior modifications. Thankfully she didn't, so it was a great lesson and Jess got a greenie.
