Another Random Day

Some people have throwback Thursday, I tend to have random Thursday about once a month or so. Today is one of those days when the thoughts in my head are too many to siphon down to just one.

I woke up this morning in a domesticated frame of mind. So far, I've baked banana cupcakes when are like banana muffins with buttercream frosting. But they are good.

My comfort t.v. show when doing domestic activities is Ally McBeal. Right now I'm watching the episodes leading up to Billy's demise. I miss Billy. And Ally, Cage, and Fish.

*sigh*

Speaking of sighs--the other day we were at the movies--me, my mom and sister, and Jordan--when a trailer for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel came on the screen and Richard--OMG--Gere appeared.

Let me tell, you us old women did a collective sigh. "Where have you been Mr. Gere?"

i had to go find a copy of the first movie, which I'd yet to see, so I could get on board for the second one.

Last week my friend, Jove, came over to help me prune my apple trees. I have a pile of branches that need to be chopped up and put into the mulch pile. On the other side of the yard, blackberries and morning glory have taken over a portion of my wildflower garden--nasty buggers they are. Looking out the window, I really need to attack my yard. Ugh. Maybe tomorrow. Or this weekend. It's supposed to be cooler this weekend, I think.

I think I might make salted caramel corn this afternoon. And Kristen's been wanting oyster crackers--Here's that recipe:

Take 1/3  cup oil, a packet of ranch dressing, sprinkle some garlic powder, and mix together. Put crackers in a 9x13 pan and pour sauce over crackers. Mix well until coated.

Bake in 200 degree oven for 20-40 minutes. Stir after 20. Not wet=done.

Okay, domestic goddess signing off...cackle, cackle, cackle...

    1. Kristi--we've had that kind of summer--for here. And I don't have
AC anywhere. You should see my left arm tan from hanging out my car window all summer long :)

But this week it's cooled off into the seventies--my favorite temps. Sunny and mild.
