Ride or Die

So much has been going on in the last couple of weeks, I don't know where to begin. I guess the beginning is always best.

Hubby and I both got called out for the ice-bucket challenge. Well, actually, hubby called me out. I took it like a trooper. I never could resist a challenge, and hubby knows it.. Got that lovable trait from my bra burning mama!

Dragon Con weekend in Atlanta! I saw some really cool costumes. Couldn't get a pic of the one I really loved. Police shooed us along. Lots of traffic. This woman went all out. Dark skin, spooky gray contacts, wings, and a light drown, fabulous costume. Absolutely stunning!

Got new movie trailer for Ella Ever After. Check it out! BTW, I owe Liz Flaherty a huge thank you for the title. I couldn't have come up with a better one if you paid me.

Hubby and I celebrated out 26th anniversary. You know what stands out most in my mind? I was going to an event and hubby didn't want to go. I told him, "Don't worry about it, I'll go by myself." Just before I was ready to leave, he stopped me.

"Wait a minute," he said. He went upstairs, and a few minutes later, in fresh clothes, he took the car keys from me and said, "Let's go."

I didn't question his motives. Half way to our destination, he took my hand and smiled at me. All it took were three words to make me melt. "Ride or die." Some of you may not know what that means. But I do. What's important to me is important to him. What's important to him is important to me. He's my ride or die man. I'm his ride or die woman. For life.

  1. Great post, Shawn. Not sure what "ride or die" means, but I'm glad he went with you. :-) Glad the title worked, too!
