The Eleventh Month

I saw a meme yesterday that said, welcome to the month between Halloween and Christmas. Too true. I think November gets slighted just a bit.

I love November almost as much as October.

I love the winds picking up and the accompanying call of the chimes in my trees.

I love bazaar season. In fact, I request to close on Saturdays--much to my coworkers delight--so I can shop and scope out craft ideas that I will never get around to trying, except for the hundreds of tile coasters in my garage.

I love the movies that come out in November. We just saw Goodbye,  Christopher Robin. Warning: Bring tissues. But, oh so good. In two weeks, we plan to see Wonder. I love movies that I can see with my daughter, sisters, and mother. (Husband? What husband?)

I love Hallmark Channel's movie schedule. When I get tired of hearing about Politics, I can head over there and indulge in some holiday romantic escapism. There's something inherently soothing in knowing everything will end up happily ever after and usually sprinkled in snow.

Eggnog lattes from Starbucks, steaming apple cider, Thanksgiving, soup, and KB would say, sweaters...

And books! A plethora of new books--

And indoor weather in which to write.

Yep, I love November.

  1. I like November for those reasons, too--well, except for going to the movies; Hallmark fills my movie well. And the pumpkin spice is still out there, too!

  2. I love November, too. There always seems to be a bit of excitement in the air, and you start to see the slowing down of things, and the additional little kindnesses people offer one another...it's just a great month!

  4. I just found out I have the Hallmark channel--I thought it was gone from my super-basic cable package, but there it was in the new channel lineup, so yay! November's okay--I love Thanksgiving because you know, pie... ;-)
