I’m in production. Well, not me exactly, but my first Four Irish Brothers Winery book is in
production at Tule Publishing. It’s currently with the copy editor and don’t
think it doesn’t feel weird to be on the other side of that particular desk.
I’m a nervous wreck wondering what she’s finding wrong and what she’ll edit.
They’re working on the cover and they gave me a release date—October 29, 2018.
They also changed the title, which was a little bit disappointing, but
honestly, the reasons made so much sense that I couldn’t fault them.
In the world of book publishing, discoverability and
metadata are really important. They are what readers use to find books they
think they’ll enjoy. So if you’re in the mood for a small town romance with a Christmas
theme, you will have no problem finding A SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS by Nan Reinhardt
when you search on those terms. And it suits the story, which does indeed take
place in a small town on the Ohio River at Christmastime.
The little town of River’s Edge is practically a character
in the book and that means it works as well. The folks in the town have been a
blast to write and I’m looking forward to revisiting it and its citizenry in
the other books in the series. I’m hoping that the shops and Mac’s Riverside
Diner and the Serendipity B&B and of course, Four Irish Brothers winery
will be so intriguing, you’ll want to return to River’s Edge, too, and see
what’s happening.
You'll get the chance. I'm already hard at work on the next book in the series--it's Sean's story and it's got a slam-bang beginning. Something big happens that brings him back to his home town and the family winery and to his oldest and dearest friend, Megan Mackenzie. Anybody out there love a good friends-to-lovers story? Yeah, me too!
Speaking of new releases—we were, right? Our own Liz
Flaherty’s new novel is releasing today!! NICE TO COME HOME TO is a fabulous
story (I get to read them early because you know, besties get special
privileges) and I know you’ll love it! I do! So click the link above and grab
your copy. Isn’t that a fun cover?
I hope everyone's summer is going along nicely. Ours is as we spend time at the lake and in the city. The kids are settling in both places and loving their time up at the lake as much as we do. We're swimming and boating and fishing and just generally having a ball.
Until next time, enjoy each day you're given, have some good wine, and be sure to hug the ones you love!
Nan
Thanks for the shout-out, Nan! I know the process for A SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS is so exciting--I'm excited, too!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I'm sort of dithery at this point...I need to focus on the next book and let Tule do their thing while I do mine! ;-)
DeleteI love it when towns become kind-of-characters! Good luck, Nan! And, Liz, happy release week!
ReplyDeleteSo do I, Kristi! That was one of the fun things about Willow Bay.
