I hate waking up with a headache. Especially when I'm supposed to blog and my head is like, "I don't think so. You've got nothing." So, for today, another infamous hodge-podge post from me.
Is anyone else a little concerned as to how connected our devices are? I got on my computer to write this to find out I'd been signed out of Google (thank you, darling KB) and when I went to sign on, my phone asked me if I was trying to sign on to another device. And then I had to fingerprint and type in a number, and presto I was signed on via my computer without having to remember my password. While I'm grateful I didn't have to dig up the password, it just seems a little too Orwellian, you know?
So, my reading goal for the year was 50 books. I am happy to report that I have surpassed that goal already. I am now at 53 books with a little over two months left. A couple of my favorite reads: To All the boys I've Love Before trilogy by Jenny Han, Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton, and The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald.
This morning I had around thirty birds flitting around my patio and trees. I was kind of mesmerized for a while (could've been the migraine). The fact that my yard has become a bit of an urban jungle is beside the point, it is a safe haven for a myriad of birds. I like that. Of course, I do. It justifies my lack of working in the yard. And now that the rain has set in...
Speaking of mesmerized, how about those Bohemian Rhapsody trailers?
I think that's about it for this post, except to remind you to VOTE. I don't care how you vote, what you vote, but I think it's extremely important to be heard.
Have a great weekend!

Oh, no, hope you're feeling better! I'm enjoying the birds this fall, too. I hear them more than I see them (unless I remember to refill the suet feeders), but I do love the sounds.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the headache, sweets--that's crummy, but on the other hand, I love your stream of consciousness posts, so a win for us! It worries me that when I look at something on Amazon or another retail website, I see ads for it in my FB feed for days afterward. That's a little creepy. Going to Vote next week--we can do early voting in my county. YAY! Feel better!
ReplyDeletehope you're feeling better, Margie - and I'm sorry I'm getting here late...it's been a crazy couple of days! I watched TATBILB over the weekend and thought it was really good...I'll have to pick up the book, too, now. :D
