2015--The Year of Determination

Today it's my turn to share my word for the year.

And after much thought and consideration, I choose Determined.

And Snoopy was only a mild influence. How could I refuse that face???

But, seriously...

As many of you may or may not know, I am a procrastinator.

I am not just a your basic run-of-the-mill blow stuff off type of person, I am a world-class procrastinator.

And this is the year that I am going to try and break through that mode. To that end, I am determined to:

Finish a marketable book.

Get Jordan an official diagnosis of Aspergers/Autism and get her into a work or study program. Get her out of the house and into a life. Stop enabling her.

Organize my office, home, and finances. Stop the neglect.

Because that's basically what happens when you are a procrastinator. You neglect the important stuff. Because it's easier to bury your head in the sand and believe that everything will work out--eventually.

And this year, I am DETERMINED to stop this vicious cycle. To this end, I am going to post a monthly update. Because I work best under expectations and accountability. It may just be a blurb or it might be an entire post, we'll see as the year plays out.

Now, time to get this posted and get on with my day. I think I hear some characters calling....

    1. Thanks, Liz.. I think I need to print this page out and keep it in sight to remind me of my pledge :). I am definitely making a few coasters out of the snoopy pic.
