The Dawn of 2015

I'm up early this morning and have yet to contemplate what I want in 2015. I'll tell you my word next week--once I figure it out.

Last night I went to bed early so I could get up earlier and bake a loaf of banana bread before I head to work. I tried this new recipe with a cream cheese filling and my family is in love. I think they are letting the bananas go over-ripe on purpose so I have to make the bread.

But during the night, I kept waking up with notes for a book. I wanted to ignore them, but they wouldn't let me sleep.

On that note, the notepad on my iPhone is amazing. I love that I don't have to hunt down pen and paper. And I can get the barest note in to remind my what I was thinking at 2:30 in the morning. Success is when the notes read coherently in the morning.

These notes were for a passion project that I turn to every once in a while. Do you have one of those--two, or three???

It's a project that I care deeply about, but usually after I write a chapter or two, I get stuck. Probably because I don't have an ending. Or I didn't. Until last night. Sometimes it pays to listen to the voices in your head.

So, here I am--celebrating the new year with new words on an old project and then this morning, more new words on my WIP. And I hope that's how the new year works for me--lots of words.

Happy New Year wherever you are. May 2015 bring you happiness, adventure, and a feeling of content. And whatever else you're in the mood for.

    1. You've seen one ball drop, you've seen them all. Plus, being on the West Coast, it's pretty anticlimatic seeing as it's already been filmed :( I wish LA, San Fran, or Seattle would come up with their own West Coast feed show. One year I watched them shoot fireworks up through the Space Needle and it was amazing.

  3. I don't have too many projects like that anymore, but I still get stuck as soon as the beginning-of-the-book honeymoon is over. Then it becomes work. :-)

    Happy New Year, Margie!
